Trip to Minnesota July 16 - Aug 2, 2014

We had a wonderful trip home to visit family.  We spent our first week with Marisa's family and celebrated Beau's grandpa's (my dad) wedding.  The second week we spent in Northern Minnesota with Andrew's family and celebrated Auntie Allie's (Andrew's sister) wedding! Beau got to meet his cousins, second cousins, aunts, uncles, friends (who are family) grandparents and all his "greats!" It was a wonderful two weeks so here's a quick photo capture of our vaca.

July 16: Today was flying day!  He did great on both plane rides!  He would be awake for take off and then fall asleep for the majority of the flight.  He was so excited to be in Minnesota and got to meet so many people his first night visiting - Cousin Harlow and Uncle Drew, Great Auntie Sue, Great Grandpa and Grandma T, second cousins Sonya and Johanna, "Auntie Amy" and Grandpa Dave... whew, I won't picture them all but I loved this photo of Beau with Grammy though!
July 17:  Beau got to spent tonight with lots of ladies, celebrating his grandpa getting married this weekend!!! Mommy and Auntie B with our belly buddy cousins :)

July 18: We spent today doing wedding prep and then had pizza at Terri's house afterward.  Auntie J got to watch her niece and nephew while we worked!  I love this photo of Beau getting great-grandpa's nose!!!
July 19: Beau got a new Grandma today!!  They had a beautiful wedding at our home church and a backyard BBQ.  He got to meet so many family members this day too!

July 20:  We had a gathering at TJ Hooligans for all of Beau's buddies.  There are many people who have wanted to meet him and instead of parading him around town, we just opened it up for people to stop by and say hi!!!  Here is the group shot of some of us sporting our t-shirts! Mommy got to see her best friend Amy and meet her son Andrew!

July 21: More time with cousin Harlow and Grandpa!

July 22: We went to the zoo for the first time with Beau!! Auntie Becky, Uncle Drew, cousin Harlow, and Amy and her two kids Elsie and Andrew joined us (though we didn't get a photo with them)!

That night we drove up to meet Uncle Scott, Auntie Hannah and cousin Joelle!

July 23:  We woke up early and headed to the Lake! We arrived safely and Beau got to meet MORE family (pictured is Great-grandpa Don, then Auntie Allie and Uncle Chris )!!!Nana and Papa were happy to see Beau too!

July 24: We hung around the cabin again today. I loved this photo of Beau and his Papa.  Here is Beau with his uncle Tyler.

July 25: We spent the day with some of my college friends and their babies!  Avery just LOVES Beau!! Pictured: Hannah (without Joelle), Katy and Valerie, Me and Avery, Amy and Beau (without Sawyer). Auntie Amanda flew into town today too!

July 26: We had a BBQ at the lake today with both side of the family and close friends who were in town for the wedding. This photo is of Beau with a family friend, Lori.  She has a daughter with Down Syndrome so we share a special connection!  That afternoon we took Beau on his first boat ride on the pontoon!

July 27: Auntie Allie and Uncle Chris' wedding day!!

July 28: Four Generations :) and a new favorite photo!

July 29: Beau is getting used to being outside in the sun!  Nana and Papa wanted to get a few photos with their "Life is BEAUtiful shirts on".  We took a final boat ride before heading home tomorrow.  Hannah and I spent the night with Amy, enjoying pizza, girl time and cards.  Perfect ending to a great week at the lake!

July 30: We drove home this morning and had a few minute for Beau and Joelle to play! Notice her crawling on him!

July 31: We had one final family BBQ (missing Drew) before we head to the airport tomorrow.  Amy and her family came to join us too!

Grandpa T made these lil chairs for dad to keep at his house for his grandbabies!

August 1:  We said goodbyes to Grandpa, Grandma and Grammy this morning. We flew home today and got home VERY LATE!!!

Aug 2:  So late that it was already the next day.... Beau helped watch all the luggage :)
